Muncie, IN—This year, Minnetrista Museum & Gardens is giving the community even more time to gather during its annual Fourth of July Celebration, now beginning at 4 p.m. on July 4. Families and friends are invited to spend the evening on Minnetrista’s East Lawn and Greensward with entertainment, community spirit, and fireworks.
The expanded celebration hours give guests additional time to relax, explore the exhibitions, visit The Orchard Shop, and experience live music and activities throughout the evening before the fireworks display lights up the sky. Musical performances throughout the evening will include America’s Hometown Band, with additional performers to be announced.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets and settle in for an evening of family-friendly fun, including lawn games, and $5 glitter tattoos.
Guests can also enjoy a variety of local food and beverage offerings throughout the evening, including Smokey Drew’s, La Patrona,Twisted Drinks, and selections from the Minnetrista Hospitality Team.
Special $4 Center Building gallery admission will be available from 4–9 p.m., including access to America at 250: Celebrating Hoosier Spirit, America at 250: Reflections on Community, and Wallace & Gromit™: Get Cracking!. Admission is free for Minnetrista members.
“One of the best parts of this event is seeing families, friends, and neighbors come together to enjoy the evening,” said Drew Catey, Theatre and Events Manager at Minnetrista Museum & Gardens. “With the celebration starting earlier this year, guests will have more time to explore the exhibitions, enjoy activities, and settle in for a fun and relaxing Fourth of July tradition together.”
As night falls, guests can take in a dazzling fireworks show accompanied by lively music, creating the perfect atmosphere to gather and celebrate Independence Day together.
The Fourth of July Celebration is a free community event presented in partnership with eKeeper Systems.
