Muncie, IN—Magic returns to Oakhurst Gardens as Faeries, Sprites, & Lights takes flight at Minnetrista Museum & Gardens from July 30–August 1. This beloved summer tradition invites families and faerie enthusiasts of all ages to step into a whimsical world where imagination comes alive and enchantment awaits around every corner.

Inspired by Elisabeth “Betty” Ball, who spent her childhood exploring Oakhurst Gardens and dreaming up magical adventures, Faeries, Sprites, & Lights celebrates creativity, wonder, and the joy of seeing the extraordinary in everyday places.

Each evening from 5–9 p.m., guests are encouraged to dress in their most magical attire and venture into an enchanting experience featuring live entertainment, hands-on activities, games, crafts, and surprise encounters throughout the gardens. Faerie-approved refreshments and treats will be available throughout the event, helping guests fuel their adventures long into the evening.

“Every year, Faeries, Sprites, & Lights transforms Oakhurst Gardens into a place where imagination comes to life,” said Drew Catey, Theatre and Events Manager at Minnetrista. “This year’s experience continues that tradition, inviting guests to explore a magical world filled with wonder, creativity, and opportunities to make lasting memories together.”

A special sensory-friendly experience will take place on Saturday, August 1, from 12:30–3:30 p.m. Designed for guests who benefit from a quieter environment, this session will feature a calmer atmosphere, gentler sounds, and flexible opportunities to explore the magical world of Faeries, Sprites, & Lights at a comfortable pace.

The enchantment begins before the festival officially opens with two faerie-themed events. On July 18, families can create imaginative miniature homes during the Faerie House Workshop. Then on July 25, guests are invited to attend the Faerie Tea Party, an afternoon of tea, treats, games, crafts, and magical fun with fellow winged friends. Preregistration is preferred for both events.

Tickets for Faeries, Sprites, & Lights are on sale now. Advance tickets are available for $13, or $11 for Minnetrista members. Gate admission is $15, and children ages 3 and under are free. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at minnetrista.net/faeries-sprites-lights.

Don’t forget to visit The Orchard Shop for faerie wings, event merchandise, and magical keepsakes inspired by the festival.

Parking will be available at the Delaware County Fairgrounds.
