Step Into a Day of Discovery at Family Adventure Day

Muncie, IN—Minnetrista Museum & Gardens, invites families and friends to celebrate the season at Family Adventure Day on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. This free, campus-wide event offers a full day of hands-on activities, interactive experiences, and opportunities to explore together across Minnetrista’s gardens, exhibitions, and outdoor spaces.
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., guests are encouraged to enjoy a choose-your-own-adventure experience across campus. Designed to bring families together through shared experiences, the day encourages exploration, creativity, and connection across generations. Check-in will take place at the Center Building.
In addition to interactive activities, guests can explore Minnetrista’s current exhibitions, including Emmett Till & Mamie Till-Mobley: Let the World See, the 36th Minnetrista Annual Juried Art Show, and Ball Stores in the Center Building. Visitors can also step aboard the Freedom Bus in the main parking lot or experience the Bob Ross Experience and Oakhurst Experience along Minnetrista Boulevard—offering even more ways to connect art, history, and place.
Families can enjoy a variety of engaging activities throughout the day, including live animal shows by Indiana Wild in the Cantina at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. Guests can also get creative with screen printing, take part in interactive storytime at Betty’s Cabin, and join a Plant-a-Seed activity with Minnetrista’s horticulture team. Outdoor spaces will come alive with lawn games on the Wishing Well Lawn, while the Indiana Room will feature the ever-popular Imagination Playground. Lunch will be available for purchase from Outlaw’s Chicken on a Stick Inc.
“Family Adventure Day is about creating space for families to explore together—trying something new, sharing experiences, and making memories along the way,” said Max Fettchenhauer, Daily Experience Manager at Minnetrista Museum & Gardens. “Whether you’re engaging with our exhibitions, participating in hands-on activities, or simply enjoying time on campus, there’s something here for everyone.”
