Muncie, IN— As spring takes root across East Central Indiana, Minnetrista Museum & Gardens invites the community to step outside, explore, and reconnect at Garden Fair, returning Friday, May 8, 2026, from 4–8 p.m., and Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 9 a.m.–3 p.m.

This free, two-day community event brings together a vibrant selection of plants, landscaping tools, and handcrafted goods to inspire summer gardening projects. Garden Fair offers something for both garden enthusiasts and music lovers alike, transforming Minnetrista’s campus into a lively marketplace filled with creativity, discovery, and connection.

“Garden Fair is about creating an experience where people can slow down, enjoy the atmosphere, and connect with both the space and each other,” said Drew Catey, Theatre and Events Manager at Minnetrista Museum & Gardens. “From live music to hands-on activities, every part of the weekend is designed to feel welcoming, engaging, and memorable.”

Guests can enjoy a variety of featured experiences throughout the weekend, including two complimentary floral painting demonstrations using the Bob Ross technique. Fused glass garden stake workshops will also be offered in the Cantina (workshop fee applies), providing a hands-on opportunity to create something uniquely your own.

In addition to plant and craft vendors, Garden Fair features live music from Maybelle Music Festival performers, kid-friendly activities, food trucks, and more—creating a dynamic and welcoming experience for all ages.

Whether you’re looking to refresh your garden, explore local makers, or simply spend time outdoors with family and friends, Garden Fair offers a one-of-a-kind way to connect with the season and the community.

Vendor applications for the 2026 Garden Fair are still being accepted. Local artisans, growers, makers, and community groups interested in participating are encouraged to apply soon, as space is limited.

Garden Fair is free and open to the public.
