Summer Adventures

Summer is the time to get outside, enjoy the beautiful weather, go on a vacation, and have fun adventures.

As a preview of our behind-the-scenes Collections Tour in August featuring travel-themed items, here is a sampling of photos from our Heritage Collection that depict some adventurous summer fun.

Our Collections Tours only happen a few times a year and the opportunity tour our Heritage Collection is not something to be missed!

The Krieger family delivered this school bus, made at Divco-Wayne in Richmond, Ind., to McMinnville, Oreg., using the trip as their family vacation.  An eleven-page article about their trip was printed in the July 1961 issue of Coronet magazine.

In 1921, “The Bunch” gathered to have their picture taken prior to leaving from the Indiana State Normal School in Muncie for a trip to Niagara Falls. 

The group stopped in Albion, New York to see the largest peach orchard in the state.
