This powerful exhibition tells the story of 14-year-old Emmett Till, whose brutal murder in 1955 shocked the nation and became a catalyst for the civil rights movement. Through compelling images and real stories, visitors will experience the enduring legacy of Mamie Till-Mobley, who turned her grief into action. Let the World See is a strong reminder of the power of truth and the ongoing struggle for justice.
Produced by The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and Emmett Till Interpretive Center.

Now located at Minnetrista Museum & Gardens, the Freedom Bus is a former Muncie Indiana Transit System (MITS) bus transformed into a mobile civil rights museum. With a focus on all the brave individuals who spoke up and stood up to demand equality, the bus shares powerful stories of East Central Indiana’s role in the civil rights movement.
The Freedom Bus is available by request during regular museum hours. Please check in at the Center Building for access.
