Muncie, IN—Get ready for an enchanting journey through the pages of your favorite childhood stories as Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood Favorites unveils its magical wonders at Minnetrista Museum & Gardens now through May 12! Crafted by the imaginative minds at the Minnesota Children’s Museum, this incredible exhibit is not just an experience–it's a celebration of beloved children’s books brought to life.

Step into the whimsical world of Storyland, where the magic of seven cherished and award-winning picture books comes alive in vibrant three-dimensional play. From Beatrix Potter's timeless classic, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, to the heartwarming adventures in The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats, each tale has been transformed into captivating bilingual (English and Spanish) learning environments that will leave both children and their adult caregivers in awe.

Embark on a journey where families can build vocabulary and narrative skills while helping Peter Rabbit find his lost belongings, harvesting vegetables, and playing in Peter’s burrow. For the littlest adventurers, there's an area inspired by the well-known board book Where’s Spot?, encouraging babies and young toddlers to explore sounds and images through interactive wall displays. Explore the wintry wonders of Peter’s world in The Snowy Day, where children can build print and sound awareness by creating snow people and immersing themselves in wintry sounds and words.

Storyland goes beyond entertainment–it's an educational playground that models early literacy experiences, emphasizing the six pre-reading skills defined by the Public Library Association and the Association for Library Service to Children. Dive into the world of disposition to read, print awareness, letter knowledge, sound awareness, vocabulary, and narrative skills and comprehension.
