Muncie, IN— Minnetrista Museum & Gardens invites visitors to step into the tranquil world of Bob Ross with Nestled Cabins, a new yearlong exhibition at the Bob Ross Experience. Opening October 25, 2025, this exhibition highlights a collection of Ross’s beloved cabin paintings—cozy dwellings tucked into quiet landscapes that remind us of the gentle, human touch in his natural worlds.

Though Bob Ross rarely painted people or animals, his cabins became a familiar signature throughout The Joy of Painting. These small structures, often the only sign of human presence, stand as symbols of peace, refuge, and imagination. In Nestled Cabins, guests will explore a curated selection of original works that reflect Ross’s ability to blend artistry with emotion—creating spaces that feel both lived in and timeless.

“Every year, we reimagine the Bob Ross Gallery to tell a new story through his paintings,” said Sebastián Encina, Associate Director of Curation & Exhibition at Minnetrista. “Nestled Cabins offers a quiet reflection on Ross’s enduring themes of solitude, comfort, and connection with nature. These cabins, humble yet inviting, remind us of the way art can make us feel at home—wherever we are.”

This exhibition offers visitors the chance to see both the familiar and the unexpected within Ross’s celebrated legacy. Alongside the paintings, interpretive displays will explore Ross’s process, recurring motifs, and the enduring influence of The Joy of Painting—a television series filmed right here in Muncie, Indiana.

Nestled Cabins is included with general admission to the Bob Ross Experience. The exhibition will remain on view through October 11, 2026, offering guests plenty of time to revisit and rediscover the warmth and wonder of Ross’s artistic world.
