Prepare for Your Visit

To ensure that you and your students have the best possible learning experience, we would like to suggest the following:

  • Please arrive at Minnetrista 10 minutes prior to your scheduled program time. This will allow time for you to get oriented before the program begins (e.g. store lunches, use restrooms, make payments, etc.). Provide the front desk with an accurate student, teacher, and parent count.

  • Please pay for students on the day of the tour with a check from your school. We ask that money be collected from chaperones prior to your visit.

  • Please make sure your students are properly dressed for the weather and wearing comfortable footwear. Students may be required to walk outdoors to move from station to station. Please, no flip-flops.

  • Please note that tours are not canceled due to inclement weather. In the event of rain, extreme heat, etc., tours may be relocated indoors.

  • Please plan to leave 10–15 minutes after the end of your last tour. This allows time to gather items, use the restroom, and load the buses.

  • If you would like time to visit our Orchard Shop, please plan additional time to do so following your tour or during your lunch break.

Tour Logistics

Unless other arrangements have been made, each class will follow a Minnetrista tour leader. We can accommodate up to four classes at a time. If there are five classes coming, the 5th class must be divided up between the other four classes. If you wish to bring six or more classes, two separate days must be booked.

If you plan on bringing smaller classes (twelve or fewer students) your classes may be combined.

Parking

If your group is arriving in a bus or van, please have your bus pull into the circle drive in front of the Minnetrista Center Building to unload. At the time of unloading, a staff member will direct your driver to our bus parking location. Chaperones and additional vehicles can be parked in the main parking lot next to the Minnetrista Center Building, just off Minnetrista Parkway.

Accessibility

Most areas at Minnetrista are handicapped accessible, however some are not. If you are booking a tour and have students/adults with you who have mobility issues, or if you have any other accommodation requests, please notify us at the time of booking.
