The machine stirs for you and more importantly, to me at least, it also times out the jam and jelly. If you like gadgets and canning made simpler, then it’s a pretty handy contraption. The jam and jelly maker is also great if you enjoy small-batch canning or would like a wide variety of jams and jellies. Variety makes for a colorful canning cabinet and a multitude of flavors for a wide-ranging palate.

However, this machine may not be the best option for every home canner. If you like to make large batches of specific types of jams or jellies, then maybe the more traditional ways of making and canning them is a better fit for you.
