Adventure Awaits: Discover Minnetrista's Exciting New Exhibitions!

Anticipation fills the air as we get ready for the opening of two captivating exhibitions at Minnetrista. Coming to Minnetrista at the end of this month is Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood Favorites and Life on the Edge/Vida al límite. Both exhibitions are bilingual and promise an abundance of excitement and exploration, whether you're diving into the pages of beloved children's books or venturing into the mysteries of extreme environments. Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood Favorites

Step into the worlds of your favorite storybooks at Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood Favorites, an immersive exhibition built by Minnesota Children’s Museum and nationally presented by Target. From January 20 to May 12, all are invited to journey inside the magical worlds of these seven beloved picture books that will spark the imagination and boost literacy skills.

This exhibition will immerse you in the environments of these cherished books, so you’ll be making snow angels next to Peter from The Snowy Day and shaking the palm trees while you explore the oversized alphabet playground from Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. These activities foster early literacy and development by encouraging visitors to engage in imaginative play, explore sounds and images with interactive wall displays, and follow prompts in each book section, and all displays and interactive games are available in English and Spanish!

Storyland isn't just for families with children; it is open to everyone! Whether you're an educator, an avid reader, a museum lover, or someone with a passion for children's literature, this exhibition offers an opportunity for everyone to open their imagination and explore the magic of children's literature that has come to life.

Life on the Edge/Vida al límite

and the exhibition is made possible by the generous support of NASA under award # NNX16AM22G.
The exhibition is owned and toured by Sciencenter, Ithaca, NY.

Life on the Edge/ Vida al límite will be at Minnetrista from January 27 through April 17. Produced in collaboration with Sciencenter and supported by NASA, this interactive educational exhibition will broaden your horizons and deepen your appreciation for life in all its forms. The exhibit is bilingual, with all displays in English and Spanish! From microorganisms to distant exoplanets, this exhibit invites you to ponder the vastness of life's possibilities.
