Emmett Till & Mamie Till-Mobley: Let the World See

This powerful exhibition tells the story of 14-year-old Emmett Till, whose brutal murder in 1955 shocked the nation and became a catalyst for the civil rights movement. Through compelling images and real stories, visitors will experience the enduring legacy of Mamie Till-Mobley, who turned her grief into action. Let the World See is a strong reminder of the power of truth and the ongoing struggle for justice.

I Am: A Vision of Our Future

Created in partnership with Muncie Juneteenth, this powerful exhibition turns the spotlight to our community’s youth. I Am invites children to imagine themselves in the futures they dream of—scientists, artists, leaders, caregivers, and more—and captures those visions in striking portraits.
Each portrait is a declaration of identity and aspiration—because when children see themselves reflected in the world around them, it affirms that they belong. I Am is both a celebration of dreams and a call to action: the future of our community is already here—and it’s bold, brilliant, and full of promise.
America at 250: Celebrating Hoosier Spirit

Bob Ross Waves of Wonder

From roaring waves on the beach shore to lazy rivers winding through forested landscapes, Waves of Wonder highlights Bob Ross’s unique ability to capture the many moods of water. Featuring a collection of original paintings, this exhibition invites visitors to experience the tranquility and power of nature as seen through Ross’s signature style—where every brushstroke brings a waterway to life.
Imagine in Glass

Where youthful imagination and the magic of glassmaking come together.
In this vibrant exhibition, Minnetrista partners with Ball State University’s Marilyn K. Glick Center for Glass to transform children’s artwork into stunning glass sculptures. Selected from submissions by K–12 students, whimsical drawings are brought to life by skilled artists—each piece a unique collaboration between a child’s vision and professional craftsmanship.
The gallery features these imaginative creations alongside original works by Glick faculty and student artists, creating a colorful celebration of creativity, community, and transformation. Imagine in Glass is a joyful reminder that when we nurture imagination, we shape the future—one drawing at a time.

Open Space: Art About the Land

Since 2001, Open Space: Art About the Land, has inspired Indiana artists to explore and celebrate the natural world through their creative visions. This annual juried competition showcases new works that capture the spirit of “open space” and its deep connection to the land. Exhibited simultaneously at Minnetrista Museum & Gardens and the Anderson Museum of Art, in partnership with Red-tail Land Conservancy, the event not only highlights artistic innovation but also supports conservation efforts. A portion of proceeds will benefit Red-tail’s vital mission to preserve and restore wildlife habitats and Indiana’s natural beauty.
