Try canning supplies for a holiday gift!

Looking to find great holiday gifts for the new, budding canners in your life? Perhaps you are thinking that it is too late to find any of the good canning items. Well, don’t worry. Depending on what you are looking for and where you look, it may be the perfect time to purchase a great food preservation present.

Online shopping is always an option. The good thing about canning and other preservation supplies is that they are pretty standard—no need to worry about what will fit! If online shopping isn’t for you, you can still get some great items at stores here in town! The first store I suggest is The Orchard Shop at Minnetrista. I happen to know they have a lot of canning items still available. They also have a lot of cute kitchen-y gifts to go along with them—towels, aprons, gadgets , etc. Many of the bigger stores in town still have a lot of items available. Rural King carries a small stock of canning items. Also, if they have what you are looking for, there is a great possibility that it is on sale. I’ve noticed Meijer and Target both have sales on a lot of their canning items.
