Parents and kids explore the world of insects at Family Fun Day at Minnetrista!

Muncie, IN— Crawl, jump, and wriggle your way to Family Fun Day at Minnetrista: BUGS on June 15 to uncover the lively world of bugs!

Create unique art with crickets and hissing cockroaches; test insect armor by challenging a friend or family member to a bug battle; decorate your own butterfly wings to take home; and work together to build a life-size insect mound.

Experience live bug poetry readings; discover how bees make fresh honey; and participate in an interactive critter presentation presented by Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo. Even see a live African millipede and giant tarantula up-close!

Explore Minnetrista’s new exhibits: Bugs: Outside the Box and Wicked Bugs, to uncover the fascinating life of insects! View bugs up-close and larger-than-life as you unveil the darker side of bugs and insect anatomy. Discover pests and their path of destruction throughout history and reveal how insects have evolved over time in these creepily-entertaining exhibits.

Your whole family will see a new side to bugs at Family Fun Day: BUGS on June 15, from noon to 4 p.m.! Cost is $5, members and children three and under are free.
