Minnetrista’s workshops offer something for everyone, from canning to copper enameling!

Muncie, IN— Minnetrista celebrates learning, creating, and experiencing new things with upcoming workshops. Explore canning! It’s easy, fun, and safe. You’ll enjoy learning new tricks of the trade, and mastering the basics. Try your hand at glass art. Create something beautiful to give as a gift or to treasure through the years. Check out the workshops in August and September:

Glass Workshop: Copper Enameling. August 9; 6–9 p.m. Back by popular demand, this workshop teaches the basics of fusing glass onto metal to create a decorative necklace pendant or pin. Registration deadline is August 2.

Canning Workshop: Zesty Salsa. August 21; 5:30–7:30 p.m. Use fresh ingredients from the garden to make your own salsa with no artificial preservatives. Learn to prepare tomatoes, onions, and peppers for a delicious, spicy salsa to serve with your favorite dishes year-round. Registration deadline is August 17.

Canning Workshop: Sweet Glazed Carrots. September 18; 5:30-7:30 p.m. Pressure canning is an excellent way to preserve traditional favorites as well as add flare to time-treasured recipes. Create a fresh, sweet glaze of brown sugar and orange juice to add extra flavor to fresh carrots. Registration deadline is September 14.

All these workshops cost $20. This includes instruction, all the tools, materials or ingredients you’ll need, and your special creation to take home.
