Upcoming Family Fun Day is all about animals!

Muncie, IN— Bring your whole family (the two-legged kind) to Minnetrista’s next Family Fun Day: Animal Helpers, on Saturday, June 9 from noon-4 p.m.

You can visit Minnetrista’s new exhibit, Tucker’s Trials and Lucky’s Back, to learn how advances in veterinary science lead to improvements in human health care. This interactive exhibit teaches children about the nervous system, how new medicines are made, and what makes dogs and humans alike.

Children can practice reading to dogs at reading stations outside the Center Building. Visitors can also make something special to take home to their fluffy friend.

The incredible members of the Muncie Obedience Club will entertain you as they show off their tricks and teach you about obedience training. Muncie Animal Rescue Fund will even be there with some of their animals for you to play with! They will also be providing information about pet adoption.

Admission for Family Fun Day is $5 per person. Minnetrista members and children 3 and under are admitted free.

Special note: this program is for animal lovers, not animals. Although you cannot take your four-legged family members into the exhibits at Minnetrista, Minnetrista’s trails are the perfect place to walk your dog this summer and it is always free to visit the grounds and gardens at Minnetrista.
