Learn to make your own Quick Pickles at Minnetrista!

Muncie, IN— Pickles make a great snack, addition to a meal, or topping on a sandwich. They taste even better when you make them yourself. You know exactly what’s inside: a little bit of love and no artificial preservatives!

Come make your own Quick Pickles on Tuesday, June 19, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Minnetrista.

This workshop explores hot water bath canning. Participants will get to make a batch of their favorite pickles to take home and enjoy—bread and butter or dill!

Ashley Lichtenbarger, Minnetrista’s workshop coordinator and educator, said, “Minnetrista’s connection to the Ball family—you know, the people who made all those jars—makes this a perfect place to learn about canning. It's a great interactive learning environment. People can come to learn new skills or get a refresher from some skills they've already had. Or just to try a new recipe. We have a lot of great, new, and interesting workshops coming up for this canning season.”

Quick Pickles workshop costs $20 per person. The deadline to register is Friday, June 15.

Upcoming canning workshops include Tomāto, Tomäto. Also, be sure to visit the Minnetrista Canning Booth June 9 and July 14 at Farmers Market at Minnetrista.
