Seniors can learn to grow herbs in small containers- indoors or out- at Minnetrista

Muncie, IN— It is easy to grow herbs in small containers- indoors or out. They can fill a room with a fresh scent and a burst of color. They are especially ideal for seniors because they can be easily planted, transported and cared for.

On Wednesday, May 23 at 2 p.m., Minnetrista’s Horticulture staff will demonstrate how seniors can grow different herbs in a container garden. Visitors will even take home herbs so they can start their own container gardens to enjoy all summer long.

Seniors 60 and older will enjoy free admission to Minnetrista all day on this date. This is also an opportunity for seniors to view all of Minnetrista’s exhibits for free, including GLASS: A Juried Art Show and Tucker’s Trials and Lucky’s Back, an exhibit about animal health and how it relates to advances in human medicine. Visitors can come for a few hours, stay all day, or just attend the Container Gardening demonstration.

No reservations are needed for this program. This Senior Free-Admission Day is sponsored by Westminster Village Muncie.
