A Midsummer Celebration; Faeries, Sprites, and Lights at Minnetrista

Muncie, IN—A long time ago, little girl through her vivid imagination, created a faerie wonderland in her own back yard. Her name was Elisabeth Ball, she held tea parties, made little magic boxes and carefully left them in the gardens to attract the faeries. Nearly 100 years later, the imagination lives on in Oakhurst Gardens at Minnetrista, with Faeries, Sprites, and Lights. A family extravaganza, come take part in this midsummer enchantment with faeries and sprites from far and wide. July 8 & 9 from 6–9 p.m.

Don’t miss the excitement as we celebrate with the faeries, enjoy faerie theatre and music, and hundreds of luminaries throughout Oakhurst! Come dressed in faerie or sprite attire and experience the magic of Faeries, Sprites, and Lights first-hand then be a part of the farewell parade each evening!

The celebration will include:

• Theatre performance—The Golden Touch.
• Live minstrel music by Bob Ford & the Ragamuffins.
• Craft and activity areas.
• Toadstool Meadow play area.
• Faerie pictures and airbrush tattoos.
• Faerie Town Café
• Dancing in the Faerie Dance Ring
• Faerie Farewell Parade

 The Center Shop at Minnetrista has all your faerie and sprite attire! Wings, wands, glitter, faerie outfits, and more! The Center shop staff will help you with all your Faeries, Sprites, and Lights needs. The Center Shop is open Monday–Saturday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. and Sunday, Noon–5 p.m.

 Also, don’t miss the Faerie Tea Party on Saturday, July 9 from 10 a.m.–Noon or 1–3 p.m. You and your little faerie or sprite are invited to attend our very special tea party! Imagination and creativity will come alive through special crafts, exciting activities, and faerie etiquette! Pre-registration is required and spaces are limited. Cost for Faerie Tea Party is $10 for members of Minnetrista; or $12 for non-member general admission.
