Field Day: Bone Zone

9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.

Grades 3–5

The head bone is connected to the neck bone, the neck bone is connected to the…well, you get the idea! This tour is full of fun and physical activities to help students understand more about their bones, how they work and how to keep them fit!

 

What will my students do?

Explore the Bone Zone exhibit

Participate in physical activities that help to strengthen bones

Work with skeleton models to better understand how their body works

Discover the importance of maintaining bone health

Identify the skeleton as a system

And much more!

 

What will my students learn?

Bones come together to function as a skeletal system

Activities we enjoy can also be good for our bodies

Bones are composed of minerals

Maintaining bone health is important
