Discover how the nation’s first federally-funded interstate highway, running from Maryland to Illinois, was created. Movers were those who headed west of Indiana. Stakers were those who stayed to develop towns, churches, colleges, and industries. Follow the stories of thirteen individuals and their involvement with the groundbreaking ‘Indiana National Road.’
