Sand and Fire A Juried Glass Show June 6 - August 16 In celebration of its glass heritage, Minnetrista has developed programs and workshops that focus on the history of glass manufacturing and on the current interest in glass art. Sand and Fire, our second juried glass art show and sale is the latest of these programs. The show will feature glass techniques such as torch work, blown, fused, stained and others. Artwork will be judged in three divisions—vessels, two-dimensional work and three-dimensional work. All entries contain at least 60 percent glass. Award winners will be announced at an opening event prior to the exhibit opening. Each work will be judged by Jutta Page, the Curator of Glass at Toledo Museum of Art. Page holds a Ph.D. from Brown University and a Master of Fine Arts from both Brown University and Rhode Island School of Design. See photos of this year's entries > |
