4th Normal City Fly Fishing Derby Saturday, October 18, 8:00 a.m. - noon
Building on the interest and success from the first three years of the event, the Normal City Fly Fishing Derby hopes to bring 50 fly fishing enthusiasts from around East Central Indiana and the state to compete in the 4^th Derby. The Derby will be held on Saturday, October 18. Click here for entry form.

The entrants meet at Minnetrista Cultural Center at 8:00 a.m. for check-in and a review of Derby rules, then can go to the public fishing areas along White River – from McCullough Park through the Muncie Sanitation Plant on the city's Westside.

1st Grand Prize Gary Borger Rod 790-4 by Fly Masters of Indianapolis
2nd Simms Shirts
3rd Simms Shirts
4th, 5th Two Photo's development; 8 x 10 and two frames 8 x 10
6th White River Landing dinner for two, major prize and discount coupons
7th one each fly box, tall and short

Fishing contest time will be following the brief 8:00 a.m. check-in meeting until 12:00 Noon. Following the completion of the smallmouth bass "catch & release" fishing contest, entrants will gather at Minnetrista for lunch, awards and fly fishing fellowship.
