Saturday, June 5

10 a.m. - Easy Preserving by Tanya Brock from Minnetrista
Love the fruits of your garden but wish you could save some for later? Learn some easy ways to preserve your garden goods using canning. Whether you have a small garden or a large one, canning can be a great way to get that fresh garden taste all year long.

11 a.m. -  Water Features by Dan Wasson Sr. from Wasson's Nursery 
This program will discuss various water features, including coy ponds, pondless waterfalls and bubbling rocks. We'll also provide information on the installation, care and maintenance of these items while using proper tools and techniques.

12 p.m. - Watershed Projects by Tom Reeve, Tom from White River Watershed Project 
Tom will take you on a walk to examine storm water management options used on our property that can also be applicable at home. This will include a look at our rain gardens currently under development 

1 p.m. - Nuisance Animals by Conservation Officer Zach Walker
Zack will highlight how to identify nuisance animals that plague your gardens. Find out best practices for managing them and learn the laws in place regarding them.   

2 p.m. - Pruning Basics by Eric Gillette
Learn the how-to's and the don't-do's of pruning. Learn methods for pruning while using the appropriate tools for common shrubs and trees.  


Sunday, June 6
12 p.m. - Tough Plants for Tough Conditions, Dustin from the Minnetrista Horticulture Department 
Do you have a spot in your garden that plants just won't grow successfully?  Learn why native plants and their cultivars might be the solution and what plants Minnetrista has used to deal with some of our toughest conditions.  
 
1 p.m. - Caring for Roses, by Rachel Drucks from the Minnetrista Horticulture Department
Learn how Minnetrista cares for their roses throughout the year.  Information covered will include pruning, disease prevention and treatment, as well as winterizing.
