WEEK TWO! June 21-25Morning (8 a.m. - noon)Move It! (Grades Pre-KK)Can you hop like a frog? Campers will observe how fish swim, how frogs jump, how squirrels get to the tip-top of a tree, and how butterflies fly! Make crafts that reflect these movements and learn to move the way animals do.
Green Thumb Gardeners (Grades 13)
Do you have a green thumb? Explore methods for growing flowers, veggies, and grasses. They will practice the techniques they learn in actual garden beds, spend time in Minnetrista's She Can make a Difference! Victory Garden, and learn how some people garden to protect wildlife, feed themselves and their families, and preserve their heritage.
Game On! (Grades 46)
Games are great for having fun! Play board games, outdoor games, role playing games, and historical games. They'll even get a chance to create their own games!
Afternoon (1 - 5 p.m.)
Faerie Fun and Sprite Surprises (Grades 13)Do you know the difference between faeries and sprites? Campers will love exploring the world of fairie creatures, creating fae homes, and having fun searching for magic in the gardens at Minnetrista. One of Minnetrista's faerie friends will stop by this camp with a special surprise just for the kids!
Old-Fashioned Cooking (Grades 46)
Learn to cook the old-fashioned way! Cooking with little to no electricity will be an exciting experience for your camper! Churn butter, make ice cream, crush fresh herbs with a mortar and pestle, and make soup in a pot over the fire. They'll even use a dutch oven to make cornbread topped with jam they canned.
