Roger and Linda Ritchie Ritchies Oak Orchard Farm
Linda & Roger Ritchie
Products: Plants, vegetables, fruits, goat milk soap
Linda Ritchie isn't a pop star, but she has a following. Actually, her leeks and beets each have followings; she just grows them. Linda and her husband Roger started selling both hard-to-find produce and "classic" produce at Farmers Market at Minnetrista ten years ago.

From cherries to hot peppers, and from eggplant to pears, the Ritchies have a plethora of goods to share with the community. They bring an assortment each week, depending on what's ripe in the garden. When it's the right season, their apples and green beans are often sellouts.

Linda and Roger provide customers with expert information and background about the products they are taking home to their own kitchens. They occasionally chat about new recipes, too. "Because we grow everything right here, we can give customers detailed information about what they are purchasing," Linda says.

What does Linda advise new Farmers Market customers do? She suggests customers "walk through the Market to see what is available each week to see the quality and prices of the different products." You'll find Linda is a frequent visitor of Upper Crust's booth, where she purchases orange rolls—her "weekly treat."

Whether you find the Ritchies' leeks to be your weekly treat or not, Linda and Roger will be able to help you discover the art of using homegrown produce in the kitchen. They've been growing their goods for years, and they are pros at answering all of your produce questions.
