          The Riverbank

A winding riverbank overlooking the White River serves as the southern border of the Minnetrista campus. Along the ridge of the riverbank runs a section of the White River Greenway, a scenic trail that follows 3.3 miles beside the White River and intersects with the Cardinal Greenway at nearby McCullough Park. You can see plenty of wildlife near the riverbank, like Blue Heron, Cooper's and Red Tail hawks, amphibians, toads, frogs, and various water turtles sunbathing on logs. Among the trees and shrubs along the hillside, you might see squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, and groundhogs, as well as small edge birds like cardinals, crows and robins.
