Garden Railroad Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Located in the Children's Garden at Minnetrista, The Garden Railroad is the brainchild of the Spring of 2006 BSU Landscape Architecture design build class. The garden railroad is now being developed, constructed and operated through the knowledgeable help of our Garden Railroad volunteers, a group of railroad enthusiasts from the Muncie community.

The garden railroad is a free-lance designed display developed around a theme representing railroads and equipment that operated in Delaware County during the period of 1930-1980. It can be expanded easily to represent current operating railroads.

The intent is to use general representations using area names, industries and businesses, etc. that convey the importance railroads had to the area, and to complement Minnetrista educational programs.

Unlike an indoor scale model railroad in a controlled environment, this outdoor railroad is subject to the elements of severe weather conditions, nature and uncontrolled access by the public. It is not a hands-on display.
